Todd Wood Joins HELIX as Biology Group Manager

Tood Wood headshotWe are delighted to announce the addition of Todd Wood as a Principal Biologist and Group Manager for the Northern California Biology Division at HELIX Environmental Planning.

 

With more than 17 years of experience, Todd offers expertise in regulatory permitting, wetland ecology, and special-status plant and wildlife surveys for the Central Valley and Northern California regions. As Group Manager, he leads a team of regulatory specialists and biologists in our Sacramento and Placer County offices, working on projects that span a variety of sectors.

 

Todd’s dual expertise as a principal biologist and regulatory specialist has ensured the successful creation, enhancement, and restoration of wetlands. He holds a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services (USFWS) Endangered Species Act (ESA) Section 10(a)(1)(A) permit for listed large branchiopods and California tiger salamander, and he is knowledgeable in aquatic resources delineations under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) pursuant to Section 404 of the federal Clean Water Act (CWA). Todd is well-versed in state and federal environmental policies and regulations including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Sections 404 and 401 of the CWA, Section 1600 of California Fish and Game Code, and the federal ESA.
