The transportation industry faces a myriad of environmental challenges as it strives to provide safe, sustainable, integrated, and efficient transportation systems to enhance the economy and livability of our local communities. With an aging infrastructure, a rising population, increased urbanization, and growing requirements related to federal health standards and state greenhouse gas targets, a radical transformation of California’s transportation sector is underway.
