San Diego International Airport Master Plan

SanDiego Airport Master PlanHELIX Environmental Planning (HELIX) prepared several chapters of a Master Plan Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for expansion of San Diego International Airport. The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s Master Plan EIR addressed the expansion of Terminal 2 West at a project level and provided a programmatic assessment of potential redevelopment of the former Teledyne Ryan facilities to the west of the Commuter Terminal as well as ultimate development for the north airport area. HELIX’s contribution to the Master EIR included analysis of biological resources, public services, public utilities, recreation, growth inducement, surface transportation noise, and cumulative projects. These analyses were also used to support a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Environmental Assessment (EA).
