HELIX Volunteers with San Diego Canyonlands to Restore Hollywood Canyon

      March 2, 2015

SDCanyonLands_HollywoodCanyonHELIX employees, friends, and family volunteered with San Diego Canyonlands to install 500 native upland and wetland plants in Hollywood Canyon on Saturday, February 28. The rain over the weekend will help to get these plants off to a great start in their new home.

San Diego Canyonlands’ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, protect and restore the natural habitats in San Diego County’s canyons and creeks by fostering education and ongoing community involvement in stewardship and advocacy, and by collaborating with other organizations.

Through the HELIX volunteer program and activities like the Canyonlands restoration, employees are able to share their knowledge and appreciation of the natural environment, and give back to the communities in which they live. Additional activities are planned throughout the year.
