The California State Senate officially recognized HELIX Environmental Planning for providing landscape architecture and planning services in support of the Ramona Soccer Arena at Collier Park.  Construction was funded with a $250,000 donation from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego ($100,000 of which came from a HELIX client, Progress Construction, and that firm’s founder, Conrad Prebys) and $372,000 in neighborhood reinvestment funds from County Supervisor Dianne Jacob.  HELIX has a long-term relationship with the Boys & Girls Club and has partnered with them on several projects.  “It feels good to be able to help the boys and girls of San Diego County through the provision of our time and expertise to worthy projects like this” said Dave Claycomb, a member of the of Greater San Diego Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors and HELIX’s founder and former CEO, adding “I was in the fortunate position of being able to work with Supervisor Jacob, Conrad Prebys and The Boys and Girls Clubs to make this project in Ramona a reality.”
