State Park employees worked with HELIX to successfully implement a prescribed burn of approximately 50 acres within Anza Borrego State Park to help eradicate dense stands of non-native, invasive tamarisk trees (also known as salt cedar). On October 2, at the Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) San Diego Chapter awards banquet, HELIX Environmental Planning was honored to receive recognition, along with the County of San Diego, of a meritorious outstanding environmental analysis document for the Campus Park West Environmental Impact Report.
HELIX is working closely with Balfour Beatty’s design-build team to ensure the success of the new Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee. Balfour Beatty completed the first phase of the $221.5 million detention center that includes 1,216 beds and 25 buildings for the intake and housing of women inmates. HELIX
