On January 6, 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)  published notice in the Federal Register announcing reissuance of all 50 existing 2012 Nationwide Permits (NWPs), general conditions, and definitions under Clean Water Act Section 404 and Rivers and Harbors Act Section 10, with the addition of two new NWPs (NWP 53 and 54), one new general condition, and five new definitions. The 2017 NWPs were anticipated to go into effect on March 19, 2017 with an expiration of March 18, 2022. The final permits have not yet been published but they are expected to be released very soon.
