HELIX provided on-call environmental services to the Metropolitan Transit Development Board (MTDB), which was renewed and continued with the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG). Under this contract, HELIX provided specialized assistance in the environmental review of rail and bus transit and transportation capital improvement and planning projects. Services included determining the scope of environmental review; preparing necessary environmental documents; and identifying and preparing environmental permit applications, including coordinating with resource agencies. HELIX prepared technical studies, implemented mitigation and monitoring programs, and represented MTDB/SANDAG at resource agency meetings. Over 20 task orders were issued through this on-call contract. Notable projects include the SuperLoop and Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch Direct Access Ramp.
