Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager position requires an individual with a minimum of 10 years experience in the preparation of CEQA and/or NEPA compliance documents (not including technical studies), including at least 5 years experience in project management. Candidates must possess excellent writing, communication and staff management skills. Experience with a variety of infrastructure and development project types, CEQA and/or NEPA document types and private sector/public agency clients is desirable. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an environmental science, planning or related field. Minimum 10 years experience in the preparation of CEQA and/or NEPA compliance documents, including at least 5 years experience in the management of CEQA and/or NEPA compliance projects. Excellent writing and communication skills. Additional skills considered a plus: Masters or PHD degree in environmental science, planning or related field. Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager

HELIX is currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager for the La Mesa office. HELIX’s Landscape Architecture Group completes a wide range of products for both private and public agency clients with an emphasis on Habitat Restoration projects in support of our Biology and Environmental Permitting Groups. The HELIX Landscape Architecture Group also prepares Master Plans, Visual Impact Analyses, Transit Facility Design Plans, Park and Recreation Facility Plans, and Streetscape and Urban Design Plans. There are excellent growth opportunities at HELIX. This position requires project management, design, layout and production of Landscape Architectural construction documents. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture from accredited program. 10+ years Professional Experience in Landscape Architecture or Related Field. Proven Proficiency in Project Management Including Client Relations. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2004 (or later) and/or MicroStation. Proficiency in Hand Drawn Graphics, Presentations and Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows XP. Additional skills considered a plus; Registered Landscape Architect (CA preferred), Existing Private Client Base, Habitat Restoration Experience, Excellent Writing Skills and International Experience.
 
Transportation Practice Leader
-San Diego or Inland Empire Office

Candidates must have at least 10 years experience as an environmental planner/project manager in the transportation planning field, including preparation and oversight of complex environmental impact assessment documents (including NEPA compliance documents) for regional and state agencies as well as the FHWA and/or FTA. Candidates with one or more related college degrees, or equivalent, are highly desired. Candidates must possess excellent writing and communication skills. Success in business development with large-scale projects and national-level teaming partners is preferred. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an environmental science, engineering, planning or related field. The Environmental Planner position requires an individual with 1 to 5 years of experience in environmental planning or public planning, including research and preparation of environmental documents; preferably CEQA and/or NEPA compliance documents. Knowledge of the southern California environmental and regulatory setting is desired. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in environmental science, environmental engineering, public planning, or a related field. Between 1 and 5 years of work experience in environmental planning or public planning, including research and preparation of environmental documents; preferably CEQA and/or NEPA compliance documents. Familiarity with CEQA and/or NEPA and the associated environmental compliance documents, such as EIRs, EISs and EAs. Strong writing and communication skills. Additional skills considered a plus: Educational background or experience in a specialty area (e.g., archaeology, noise/acoustics, air quality, agriculture or water quality) and an interest in developing/providing consulting skills in that area, in addition to the provision of CEQA/NEPA generalist services. Responsibilities include managing biological survey, habitat restoration, and construction monitoring projects as well as Biology Group staff. The position also will include resource agency consultation, client coordination, and preparation of proposals and related marketing support. Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in an environmental science or equivalent, biology, or related field; 10 or more years experience carrying out biology and/or habitat restoration projects; at least 3 years project management experience; excellent writing and communication skills; and the ability to complete projects within time and budget constraints.
