Eastlake III Wetland Restoration

EastlakeIII restorationHELIX Environmental Planning (HELIX) biologists and Construction Group staff prepared construction documents and specifications for the Eastlake III Woods and Vistas, a wetland restoration site in the City of Chula Vista that was created as mitigation for wetland impacts associated with the East Lake III project. The restoration project included water course design, planting, seeding, irrigation, maintenance, and biological monitoring along a portion of Salt Creek. HELIX installed approximately six acres of habitat through planting and seeding of native species, then maintained and monitored the site for five years as a part of the maintenance and monitoring period. Following attainment of success criteria, HELIX continued to maintain and monitor the site as part of the long-term management plan implementation.
