Candidates must have at least 8 years experience in the preparation of CEQA and/or NEPA compliance documents (not including technical studies), including at least 4 years experience working as a CEQA/NEPA project manager for a consulting firm. Candidates must possess excellent writing, contract management, communication and staff management skills, and have the ability to prepare proposals and win contracts in interviews. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in environmental science, planning, engineering or related field. Knowledge of southern California environmental and regulatory setting. Biological Administrator / Operations Manager
Provide high level support for Biological Services Division, including liaison between Vice President, Group Managers and biological staff. Plan, schedule and assign work and manage/maintain staff schedules. Ensure assignments and activities comply with HELIX policies/procedures as well as federal and state codes/regulations. Schedule and track biological vehicles and field equipment. Type, format, and edit correspondence and letter proposals. Edit and produce technical documents. Maintain required permits and certifications (e.g., endangered species permits). Assist staff with as-needed administrative tasks, including mail and files support. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years similar experience. Proficient in Word and Excel. Demonstrate strong ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks. Additional skills considered a plus: Experience with Office Tracker software and/or Deltek/VISION software. Ability to create custom report forms, spreadsheets and templates. Ability to participate in vehicle maintenance.

Transportation Practice Leader
Candidates must have at least 10 years experience as an environmental planner/project manager in the transportation planning field, including preparation and oversight of complex environmental impact assessment documents (including NEPA compliance documents) for regional and state agencies as well as the FHWA and/or FTA. Candidates with one or more related college degrees, or equivalent, are highly desired. Candidates must possess excellent writing and communication skills. Success in business development with large-scale projects and national-level teaming partners is preferred.
