Calaveras County On-Call Environmental Services

HELIX Environmental Planning (HELIX) was selected by the Calaveras County Public Works Department to be an on-call environmental consultant, with a focus on transportation projects. HELIX’s selection, in a very competitive consultant selection process, was based on the firm’s comprehensive background in the preparation and processing of CEQA and NEPA documents and regulatory permits for a wide variety of transportation projects throughout the state. HELIX has completed several tasks under that contract, involving materials testing and geotechnical services for the Mountain Ranch Road Improvement, O’Byrnes Ferry Road Widening, and Duchess Road Widening projects. All work is being performed in accordance with the County of Calaveras and the California Department of Transportation’s (Caltrans’) Local Assistance Procedures Manual.
